- Currency
- Your licence is billed in euros. If guests pay online, they pay in euros through your own Mollie account.
- Your data
- The database is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. The provider is a sole trader in Sweden.
- What it doesn't do
- Group classes or bootcamps with several clients at once with one trainer, session packs, memberships and training plans. Clients book and pay for each session separately. For group classes by time slot there is the Activities package.
What it does for your training business
No more back and forth by text about when you have a free slot.
- Sessions with their own length and price
- A 30 or 60 minute session, partner training or a taster session: each type gets its own length and price.
- Your own blocks each day
- Open up to three blocks a day, for example 7 to 11 in the morning and 4 to 9 in the evening. Clients only see times inside those blocks.
- Never two clients at once
- A trainer has one client at a time. Once a slot is booked it disappears for everyone, even if two people press the button at the same moment.
- Time between sessions
- Add a buffer to each session, for instance to move to another room or set out equipment. Clients never see those minutes.
- Changes without phone calls
- Clients get a confirmation and a reminder by email and can move or cancel through the link, up to the cut-off you set. Bookings also land in your Google Calendar.
- More than one trainer
- If you work with colleagues, each trainer has their own hours and holidays, and clients pick a trainer or whoever is free first. Your price stays the same.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a booking system for personal trainers cost?
Salon Start costs €35 a month per business, excluding VAT, with as many trainers as you like. If you also want client cards with history and notes, a PIN for each trainer and a review invitation after the session, choose Salon at €79. There is no fee per appointment and no commission.
Can I open only certain times?
Yes. Set up to three blocks a day, and outside them nobody can book online. Add a day off or a holiday as an absence and that day is closed.
Can I stop last minute bookings?
Yes. You decide how many minutes before a session clients can still book online and how many days ahead your diary is open. Out of the box that is four hours before and sixty days ahead.
Can clients pay in advance?
Yes, with the separate Online payment module at €20 a month. For each session you choose nothing up front, a deposit or the full amount, through your own Mollie account. Without that module, you settle up with clients yourself.
Can I try it first?
Yes, you can try it free for 14 days, without payment details. If you want to carry on afterwards, you choose a subscription; if you do nothing, the trial simply ends.
Is the booking widget available in English?
Yes. The booking widget, booking page and emails to your clients are available in English, Dutch, German and Swedish. Sign-up and the admin are in English too.
