YourReservation.eu is provided by Your Virtual Assistant (Christopher van Vliet), registration number 870308-9055, HHU-664-1 Billo, 106 43 Stockholm, Sweden. This policy explains which personal data we process, why and for how long, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Questions or a request? Email hello@yourvirtualassistant.eu.
When you book a table or a lane
If you book through a venue's booking page or booking button, that venue is responsible for your data. We process it on the venue's behalf. This covers your name, email address, phone number, the number of people, the time and anything you enter yourself, such as a comment or an allergy. The venue uses this to confirm your booking, remind you and contact you if needed. If you want to see your data or have it deleted, please contact the venue. We help the venue do so.
If you pay online, the payment goes through Mollie, the venue's payment account. We only see whether the payment succeeded, never your bank or card details.
When you want a reminder about a booking you do not finish
Some venues show a tick box in the last step of booking: the venue may email you once if you do not finish the booking. The box is unticked by default. If you do not tick it, we store nothing for such a reminder and you will not receive one.
If you tick it and then leave the page without booking, or do not pay at Mollie, we store your name, your email address, your language and your choice (date, time, number of people and, for an activity, which one and for how long). After the time the venue has set (2 hours by default) we send one email with a link back to the same choice. If you book in the meantime, if the venue switches the reminder off or if you have unsubscribed, no email is sent and we delete this data.
You receive at most one such email a week from the same venue. The email contains a link to unsubscribe; after that you will never receive such an email from that venue again. The legal basis is your consent. You withdraw it with the unsubscribe link or by asking the venue.
As soon as the email has been sent, we delete your name and email address. What remains is a code calculated from your email address and the venue (a hash), without the address itself. We use it to keep to the rule of one email a week, and it lets the venue see how many guests booked after a reminder. After 30 days we also delete what you had chosen (day, time, people); the code itself is deleted after two years, so that the unsubscribe link in the email keeps working until then. If you have unsubscribed, we keep such a code for as long as the venue uses YourReservation.eu, so that we can continue to respect your unsubscription.
When you buy a gift voucher
You buy a gift voucher from the venue; the venue is responsible for your data and we process it on its behalf. We store your name, your email address, the amount, the code, the balance and every change to the balance, together with the booking it was used for. We send the code to the address you give. Payment goes through Mollie, the venue's payment account.
A voucher that is not paid for is deleted after 30 days. A paid voucher is kept with its transactions, so that the venue can check the balance; it is not deleted automatically. If you would like it deleted, please contact the venue.
When you have an account
For your account we process your name, email address, phone number, company details and billing details. We use them to provide the service, to invoice you and to keep you informed about your account. The legal basis is our agreement with you. We keep billing details for seven years because the law requires it. Other account details are deleted no later than 60 days after your subscription ends.
Who else has access
- Supabase: the database, stored in Frankfurt (Germany).
- Cloudflare: hosting of the website and the app.
- Stripe: subscription payments.
- Mollie: guest payments, only if the venue switches them on.
- Hostinger: the mail server we send email from; sending runs through a function at Supabase.
- Google: only if the venue connects its Google Calendar, to put bookings into that calendar. The fonts are on our own server; your browser fetches nothing from Google for them.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: a check against bots when signing up, when setting a new password and when booking or buying a gift voucher, where that check is switched on. For this, your browser loads a script from Cloudflare.
We have agreements with each of these parties on security and confidentiality. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We only store what is necessary in your browser: your login, which venue you have chosen in the admin, your language choice and whether a tablet is linked as a kiosk. On a device where you use the admin, we also store what you view there (Today, the calendar, the dining room, the guests and the waiting list), so that you can look at it without internet; we delete it when you log out and after one day. There are no cookies for advertising or for tracking visitors.
Your rights
You can see your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to processing. Email us; we will reply within a month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
